AoE's Annual Holiday Party

Dec. 13th

Last month the AoE office was transformed into a dazzling venue for our annual Holiday Party – adorned with ornaments, lights, music, and delicious food and drinks from Martha's Vineyard. We enjoyed an evening meeting family members and unwinding with colleagues.

WORLD OF WINTER

Grand Rapids

The World of Winter Festival is a free, outdoor celebration in Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, celebrating winter through art, events and activities for all ages.

Presented by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., the festival transforms the city into a winter wonderland each year.

Now in its 6th year, World of Winter features stunning art installations, interactive exhibits and live performances, offering a unique way to embrace the season and enjoy the beauty of winter.

 

Calvin College

Jan. 20th - Jan. 30th


The January Series is a free, 10-day event hosted by Calvin University that is filled with brilliant speakers, fascinating topics, and enlightened conversation.

Prominent academics, educators, artists, activists, and others present thought-provoking lectures in their areas of expertise.


By promoting education, civic engagement, and open inquiry, Calvin is growing a community of lifelong learners who don’t want to be passive observers but active participants in creating a better, more inspired, more inclusive world

Come by the Grand Rapids Art museum to see Brick by Brick: The Creative Art of LEGO® exhibit! This exhibit is in partnership with Bricks & Minifigs Grand Rapids, and is the second annual exhibition celebrating the creative potential of LEGO®.

Enjoy hands-on activities for all ages:

  • An interactive community LEGO® building area

  • A create your own minifigure drawing activity

  • A minifigure scavenger hunt throughout the Museum
