COMMUNITY
AoE Attended:
Michael Lingg and Nora (Bruskewitz) Bylsma visited Dr. Jiaxin Du's class at Grand Valley State University to share insights on balancing project management with the technical demands of engineering projects. It was a great opportunity to connect with future engineers and dive into real-world applications of managing both timelines and tech.
Michigan Science Olympiad
at GVSU
GVSU was very thankful for Brendan and Howard's contributions to a truly inspiring day of STEM/STEAM exhibits at the Michigan Science Olympiad. Over 700 middle and high school students, from 37 schools, left the day inspired and excited about STEM. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators!
NETWORKING
MDEX
April 8th - 10th
AoE was grateful for the conversations, connections, and innovation shared.
It was an energizing expo!
Rockstar Women / Soar Session
April 18th

Soar Sessions consistently provide inspiration, serving as a platform for personal and professional growth. Each gathering is thoughtfully designed to encourage dialogue, foster connections, and ignite passion among participants. As the AoE women gather at the Gohi Center for this second Soar Session of the year, they look forward to not just the enriching content of the event, but also the lasting friendships and networks that will emerge from these shared experiences.
HIGHLIGHTS
Seed Planting
April 2nd
Garden jump-start! We took a break from computers to get our hands a little dirty for a seed-starting event. From tomatoes to herbs, we planted seeds for a season of growth - inside and outside the office. Here's to nurturing ideas, community and
a few veggies along the way.

![]() Lantern Festival JOHN BALL ZOO
April 9th - June 15th The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival at John Ball Zoo is a breathtaking experience of light and wonder: a one-mile tour along a path illuminated by handcrafted Asian lantern displays that tell the intersecting story of wildlife and Asian culture. This is the only place you can see these incredible works of art in Michigan. This is the third year the Zoo is hosting the Lantern Festival. Even if you’ve seen it before, you need to come again – because this year’s event features new lanterns and interactive events! | ![]() Music & Events on the Farm 3025 6 Mile Rd NW Who loves live music?! We do! Our grandparents loved to dance and grandpa was a singer himself. Music on the farm has been a family tradition for us since the beginning. We are excited to share our love for live music with all of you! We have live music weekly and host our Farm Concert Series monthly. Our live music schedule is below and we look forward to see you and your dancin’ shoes at the farm!
